Bentley Collaborates with Jockey Club to Build Horse Racing-Inspired Car

For Bentley, it has been a tradition to build distinctive Bentayga variants themed around renowned hobbies and sports. Just recently, the prestigious automaker has done it again taking inspiration from one of the world's oldest sports, horse racing. The all-new Bentayga by Mulliner is an example of the British brand's performance SUV, and is a product of its collaboration with The Jockey Club in the UK. The posh model is inspired by the upcoming Cheltenham Festival, an acclaimed horse racing meeting in Gloucestershire, England.

The Bentayga's Spruce Green exterior finish pays homage to the famed British Racing Green color present on almost every classic British car. This signature hue is further complemented by Bentley's 21-inch diamond-cut wheels and Bentley's Blackline Specification.

In the interior, the Cumbrian Green color is contrasted with tweed trim pieces, Saddle leather seats, and a Burr Walnut wood dashboard. The furniture used in some of the rooms at The Jockey Club's events inspired this design. Hence, jockey and horse embroidery can be found on every seat of the car, and there is also a horse graphic imprinted in gold on the passenger-side dashboard.

According to Uday Senapati, head of technical communications at Mulliner, the Mulliner team has been deeply inspired by the equestrian lifestyle, and this gave them the encouragement to use new materials and techniques for the first time on a Bentley in the development of this one-off commission.

Reports say that no one will be able to purchase this special SUV, but the Bentayga by Mulliner will be displayed at Bentley's booth at the Cheltenham Festival, which will take place from March 13 to 16.
