The all new Jaguar XE touched down in certain international markets earlier this year. The two engines available for Middle East markets will be: The XE 25T and its 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 240hp and 251 pound-feet of torque, and the XE 35T and its 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 340hp and 332 lb-ft. The 340hp V6 will be one of the two models available with the new torque-on-demand all-wheel drive system, along with the diesel version which will unlikely be available in UAE markets. The AWD model is pure rear-wheel drive until the full power is required up front, at which time it can be shifted forward in incredible 165 milliseconds. All trims get a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, but the supercharged 35t gets the sturdier and sportier 8HP70 transmission, while all other models get the more compact and smoother 8HP45 transmission. Interior options will include an In-Control Touch infotainment system with an eight-inch screen or an In-Control Touch Pro system with a 10.2-inch screen featuring Apple Watch connectivity. Standard audio output will come from a 380-watt system with 11 speakers; the upgrade runs to 825 watts and adds six additional speakers. The features of standard and optional driver aids list All-Surface Progress Control, a low-speed cruise control on top of the adaptive cruise control, a laser heads-up display, Traffic Sign Recognition and an adaptive speed limiter that uses traffic sign information which will make driving a lot cheaper with less speeding tickets.
