JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Website Project Lead to oversee the entire website project from conception to launch, ensuring that all tasks and milestones are completed on time and within budget. Supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the technical aspects of website development, including website design, coding, and maintenance, to create a high-quality website that meets the needs of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning:

  • Overseeing the entire website project from conception to launch, ensuring that all tasks and milestones are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Management: Managing a team of vendors (designers, developers, content creators, and other professionals) involved in the website development process, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and ensuring that team members are meeting their goals.
  • Planning and Strategy: Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, as well as developing strategies for website design, development, and maintenance.
  • Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, and communicating project status, changes, and issues to the project team, and management.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of the website by testing functionality, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues that arise during development.
  • User Experience: Ensuring that the website is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and provides a positive user experience.
  • Content Management: Overseeing the creation, organization, and management of website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
  • Analytics: Monitoring website performance metrics, such as traffic, bounce rate, and conversion rates, and making recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to users on how to manage the website and its features.
  • Keeping up to date with new website development technologies and trends and making recommendations for implementing these technologies to improve website functionality and performance.

Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Technology Evaluation: Identifying and evaluating new web technologies, tools, and platforms to improve the team's efficiency and the quality of the website.
  • Vendor Selection: Selecting and managing third-party vendors, including web hosting providers, software vendors, and other service providers.
  • Resource Planning: Planning and managing the team's resources, including personnel, budget, and technology resources, to ensure that they are effectively allocated to meet project goals.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks related to web development projects, including technical risks, budget risks, and timeline risks.
  • Deployment Management: Managing the deployment of web projects, including ensuring that the website is properly configured, tested, and launched.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and user manuals.

Operational Management:

  • Website Development: Developing and maintaining websites using programming languages such as PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Website Design: Working with web designers and other professionals to ensure that website design is functional, visually appealing, and meets the needs of clients and users.
  • Coding and Debugging: Writing, testing, and debugging code to ensure that website functionality is error-free.
  • Content Management: Integrating website content, such as text, images, and multimedia elements, into website templates and coding.
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly updating and maintaining websites to ensure that they are running smoothly and free from errors.
  • Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensuring that websites are compatible with different platforms, devices, and browsers.
  • Security: Ensuring that websites are secure and protected from cyber threats.
  • User Experience: Ensuring that websites are easy to navigate, visually appealing, and provide a positive user experience.

Financial Management:

  • Ensure external support or services of systems in the division are provided within budget.
  • Lead on implementation action plans within agreed deadlines from business.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, information technology, etc.
  • Certifications in PMP, Zend Certified PHP, Certified Web Developer (CIW)
  • 5 years of comprehensive working experience
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
