Rumors say... BMW will build a sedan version of the new 2!
Since Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport reported that BMW’s head of development, Klaus Fröhlich, was pushing for the development. And if BMW really builds the 2-series Gran Coupe, it is likely also to build an M2 Gran Coupe.

Not only is the 2-series Gran Coupe happening, but an M version is definitely going to happen, too.
That would mean you could have an M2 with its roaring 365-hp engine and also two more doors for back seat passengers. All versions of the 2-series Gran Coupe reportedly will have an extended wheelbase, slotting the Gran Coupe somewhere between the regular 2 Series coupe and the 3 Series. Supposedly, the Gran Coupe might hit the dealers and showrooms in early 2019.
Late last yearBut according to Autocar UK, that model will be exclusive to the China market only, leaving room for a 2 Series-based four-door to be sold elsewhere in the world.
Offering a 2 Series Gran Coupe in the UAE would finally give BMW a competitor for the Mercedes Benz CLA Class and the Audi A3/S3, but the risk of lowering sales of the 3 Series could keep it out.
