Just a few days before this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley has unveiled its stunning new Continental GT, which is touted as the most striking car the automotive world will see this year.
This grand tourer will debut an upgraded edition of the Bentayga's 6.0L W12, which delivers 635PS and 900Nm of torque. That will power the Continental GT from 0 to 62mph in 3.7 seconds and onto an impressive speed of 207mph. In order to cut down running costs, the W12 is equipped with cylinder-deactivation, which helps reduce CO2 emissions by 16 percent, to around 278g/km.
Apart from its mesmerizing opulence, the new GT also proves to be the sportiest Continental yet. It boasts 'Bentley Dynamic Ride', which enhances handling with active anti-roll bars to make it more agile in the corners.
In addition, the new aluminum architecture enables the new model to save 80kg. In fact, almost all of it is made from aluminum, including the body, which is developed using Super Forming.
In the interior, the Continental GT comes with new suite of exciting technologies. One of the highlights is the three-sided central unit, which rotates between wooden veneer, 12.3-inch touchscreen, and three analogue gauges (compass, air temperature and chronometer).
The car will also reportedly have the option of identifying Naim's 21-channel 2,200W system with active bass, promising to be one of the leading audio systems installed in a car.
Another highlight in the Continental GT is the new 'diamond in diamond' quilted leather, which Bentley spent eighteen months developing.
Customers can already start ordering the new grand tourer, and dealers are beginning to take deposits. Initial orders are anticipated to roll out in the first quarter of next year, but prices are still subject to confirmation.
